Stephen "Koz" Koslowski's love of nature and underwater marine life began when he was a young man. Pursuing his love of the underwater, he began scuba diving and snorkeling in the Caribbean, Hawaii and on the Great Barrier Reef. The lure of a tropical paradise brought him to the Caribbean where he found his artistic inspiration.
Through his art, Koz takes us on a whimsical adventure under the sea and to tropical paradises. His canvasses explode with vibrant colors as he portrays fish, sea horses, crab, mermaids, reef life and palm trees. He is recognized by the "fun" that he creates in his art and the "smiles" that he brings to those that view it.
American artist, Amanda Johnson studied art at The School of the Art Institute of Chicago before traveling to Key West in 2011 on an inspirational journey, where she discovered the rich brilliance and luminosity of the tropical sun enlivening her use of colors and inspired her turn toward impressionism and plein air painting.
The combination of exacting detail, lush texture and passionate movement is a distinguishing characteristic in Amanda’s oil paintings, invoking a feeling of subtle intrigue and powerful presence.

I am interested in weather and extreme places such as Newfoundland and Labrador, Everglades and Alaska.
Alaska inspired a series of paintings after having spent time there last summer. “Crater” is from that series.
Wood in both its raw and finished form has always fascinated me. Through accentuation of its sensuous curves, interesting voids, undulating grain and intrinsic warmth, I try to allow the true spirit of the tree to present itself and evoke a personal emotional response in those viewing and touching each piece.
Step back into 'else-when' in the days of the old shipwright's art of boat building, brought to life before your eyes. Exquisite lathe-turned wooden ware from local hardwoods to adorn your table, or benches and table tables of unique wood & water designs, each piece is unique and individual.
Additional skilled artisans include traditional H-channel stained beveled glass, canvas creations, metal art lamps hand made by the 'spark of art' welder.
Enjoy the smell of wooden bowls actively being created on a large lathe with live demonstrations, or view the newly shaped wood planking on the boat.
Kids can play with the wooden yo-yos and hear stories of the magical wooden wands and crystals, something to enjoy for all, both young and younger.
My creative endeavors over the past four years turned to collage, encaustic, shadowbox and assemblage. I hope to imbue my work with a spirit of spontaneity, play, and surprise. The use of color, composition, pattern and design reflects my background in interior design.
As a catalyst for my work, I haunt antique shops and flea markets in search of arcane, vintage objects. A shadowbox may begin with a wooden piece into which I collage found, altered or handmade papers. It might also include screen, tape, paint or three dimensional elements.
D’s Designs of Key West is a full production stained and fused glass studio specializing in residential, commercial and churches. All designs are custom drawn and glass selections, as well as applications of lead or copper foil, are made with you and your setting in mind. Window panels, doors, transoms and cabinet inserts are some of my specialties for homes. The past 6 Years, I have worked with many churches on panels for windows, entrances and altars, all with hand painting involved.
I also fuse, melt and hand paint glass bowls, platters, jewelry, pendant lights, vases and seasonal art pieces.
We have been in business in Louisiana since 2004 and have just moved permanently to Key West this year! I love incorporating the vibe, colors and characters of Key West into my pieces.

Art should be inspiring, approachable, most of all easy for a community to relate and connect too. Quirky and fun, happy and energizing. These are just a few of the attributes which are incorporated into my creations. My hope is to warm the heart and awaken the creative soul.
I have experience working with public and private entities creating workable designs of public art.and private residential commissions. My many years of experience working within the commercial stone industry provided me with the background to create realistic schedules, contacts with quality fabricators, and install a superior artistic work.
